At bat, players must initiate a play and run the lanes until they reach the escape line. Players are responsible with hitting the players running the lanes with the ball during catch. A maximum of two players can sprint in each lane at the same time. A player can be hit in both lanes at the same time. If a player is not out when his/her turn comes up, he/she may continue to compete by hitting from where he/she left off.
In addition to this, there are three other ways to win or lose points: if a player hits into an outfield area which does not contain any players, he/she will lose one point; if a player fails to touch a ball while it is in play, he/she will lose two points (unless it is caught on the fly by a player who has not yet had a chance to run); finally, if a player takes too long between hits, the opponent can hit again before the first player is able to resume playing.
These rules are fairly simple and easy to follow. The only thing to remember is that you need to keep track of your hits and misses so that you do not miss your turns forever.
Outside, 5.1 A player, with or without the ball, is onside if he or she enters any area other than the specified playing area for that position. 5.2 A player may reach over to recover a ball but may not, under any circumstances, walk onto an o++ side area (including retrieving a ball, or seeing to an injured player before time is called).
If the ball gets out of bounds, it is brought back into play by a throw-in by the opposing team from a location outside the line where the ball went out of bounds. When two players reach for the ball at the same moment, they might become entangled, and the umpire is unable to determine who has possession.
(iv) A ball is not out of bounds if it strikes any portion of the goalpost and bounces back into play. This new regulation states that if someone is already off the court and receives the ball before it grounds, it is a throw-in to the other team.
When the ball is out of play, a throw in is granted to the team that last touched it. This is taken at the point that the ball was no longer in play. To be ruled out of play, the ball must make contact with the ground or a player positioned outside the court's boundaries.
Langdi's Ground Rules Langdi is a team sport played by two teams of 12 players each, plus three extra players. The team that wins the coin toss is in charge of defense. The chasing team sends chasers who try to tag the defenders by jumping on one foot. As long as the chasers stay on one foot, they can step off the ground. A defender is tagged if he or she steps off the ground with the foot that has been jumped on.
The aim is to be the first team to get all your players tagged out. However, if the chasers cause a player to fall too often then the defending team will use their right to kick off any chaser who has been run down.
Other items of equipment used in this game include a ball which is usually made from leather and rubber.
Players are expected to wear shorts and T-shirts during games. Shin pads are recommended but not required for protection.
There are no rules specifically for langdi other than those applicable to football in general. For example, there is no limit on how many times a player can be tagged out before being removed from the field.
However, it is recommended that only players who have not been tagged out before should be allowed back on the field after being caught by a chaser. This helps prevent any serious injuries occurring due to excessive force being used by the chasers.
