The Los Angeles Dodgers are credited with pushing down resale ticket costs for the restricted 2020 World Series. The team's share of revenue from sales of tickets in the section known as "The Block" dropped by about 40 percent this year compared to 2019, according to data provided by MLB. The drop is attributed to the cancellation of the series due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Brooklyn Dodgers played in their only World Series while residing in Brooklyn before moving to Los Angeles in 1958. Since then, the Dodgers have won 90 games and have been participating in the postseason every year except 2008 when they were eliminated in the Division Series round by Arizona.

The Dodgers made their debut in 1958 and have never missed the postseason since then. The team is owned by Frank McCourt and resides in Downtown L.A. near Dodger Stadium. The stadium is known for its famous fans who sing along to games with their own version of the national anthem called "Dodgers Stadium."
Attendance at Dodger Stadium has topped out over the past few seasons at around 40 million people. The team has also been on top of many baseball polls throughout their history with six National League Pennants and one World Championship in 1981 vs. St. Louis Cardinals.
In 1992, the Dodgers were among the first teams to use steroids during spring training. They were using performance-enhancing drugs because other major league teams were doing so and they wanted to keep up with them.
The team was founded as the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1883 by Charles E. Faust and William P. Dobbins after they purchased the contract of George S. Dixon, who had played for the original Brooklyn Atlantics.

The team moved to Los Angeles in 1958 and used Dodger Stadium as their home from then until the construction of its current stadium, now known as T-Mobile Park. The team has since returned to Los Angeles where it has become one of the city's most popular sports teams.
Dodgertown was the team's training facility in the county town of Pocheville from 1950 to 1954. The site is now used for baseball and football practices by the University of Southern California Trojans.
John McGraw was the manager of the Brooklyn team from 1900 to 1902 and again from 1905 to 1907. He is considered the father of modern day baseball coaching. During his first tenure with the club, he developed a reputation for being difficult to work with but after being given free rein by owner Charles Ebbets, he created one of the best ball clubs in baseball history.
