Dominik Gutierrez (born April 5, 1997) is a professional wrestler from the United States. He is presently contracted to WWE, where he competes on the SmackDown brand as Dominik Mysterio. Gutierrez is the son of Rey Mysterio Jr. and the great-nephew of Rey Misterio Sr., making him a third-generation wrestler.
He debuted on May 29, 2015 during WWE’s live event in San Jose, California under the ring name “Mysterio”.
Mysterio has been praised for his work ethic and ability to work a crowd, having been called “the future of wrestling” by Paul Leyden of Wrestling News World.
He is currently working on an exclusive contract with WWE.

Gutierrez, like his father, Rey Mysterio, is a professional wrestler. Aside from that, he is most well-known by his ring moniker, Dominic Mysterio. His father’s wrestling career had the most effect on the fighter. Not to add, when he was just six years old, he had appeared in his father’s battles.
Dominik Gutierrez, the son of Angie and Oscar Gutierrez, better known as Rey Mysterio, was born on April 5, 1997. Aalyah is his younger sister. When he was a child, people called him “The Mexican John Cena” because he looked like his father at a young age.
He started wrestling when he was 10 years old and currently works for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) as a tecnico (the term for someone who plays the role of hero or good guy).
Dominik made his in-ring debut on May 23, 2014 during an event held by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in Mexico City. He was with CMLL for almost two years before joining American promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in January 2017. He was part of WWE’s development territory NXT for almost a year before being promoted to the main roster in February 2018.
He has won several championships while working for NXT and main roster WWE including the WWE World Championship once.

Aside from that, he is most well-known by his ring moniker, Dominic Mysterio. His father’s wrestling career had the most effect on the fighter. He trained him, managed him, and helped bring him up through the ranks.
Mysterio Jr was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on January 4th, 1983. He has two siblings: a sister named Jessica who is also a pro wrestler under the name Jessima and a brother named Jake (who works as a security guard). His parents divorced when he was young. His mother, Delia Garcia, later married Jose Luis Hernandez. They have two children together: Josephine and Dominic Jr. (mentioned above).
Rey Mysterio made his official debut on March 31st, 1992 at an event called WCW Slam! Spectacular! where he defeated Tony Atlas in the opening match. From then on, he started out with strong performances, quickly building up a reputation as one of the best wrestlers in the company. In 1994, he signed with World Wrestling Federation (WWF) during their rise to power. He remained with them until 1999 when he joined Japanese promotion New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). There, he met and became friends with Antonio Inoki, who helped get him work overseas.

Dominic grew up in Lompoc, California where he lived with his parents and two sisters. He had always wanted to be a professional wrestler so at the age of 18, he started training at the World Wrestling Federation (WWF)‘s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). In January 2012, he signed with WWE.
During his time in FCW, Dominic made several appearances with both the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL). He also played minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals organization. In October 2011, it was reported that Dominic would be leaving wrestling to focus on hockey but later returned to wrestling.
In December 2011, it was reported that Dominic would be joining WWE after being recommended by Booker T. During his time in NXT, he competed in the 2012 season of The Ultimate Fighter as a heavyweight fighter. In August 2012, it was announced that Dominic would be replacing Matt Morgan as the newest member of Team Punk at Survivor Series.
Oscar Gutierrez (born December 11, 1974), best known by his ring name Rey Mysterio, is an American professional wrestler who now works for WWE on the SmackDown brand. Mysterio is largely recognized as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He is widely regarded as having popularized cruiserweight wrestling.
Mysterio started his career in 1995 after being trained by El Terrible at the Arena Puerto Rico in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
He later went on to work for World Wrestling Federation (WWF) where he became a two-time WWF Champion (one time each with the belt designs of Bret Hart and Chris Benoit). During this time, he also won the Mexican National Championship twice. In 2001, he joined World Wrestling Council (WWC) where he held the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship once. After one year, he returned to WWF where he has worked consistently since then. His current contract with WWE expires in April 2019.
Mysterio is one of the most successful wrestlers of all time, having earned worldwide recognition and praise from both his peers and critics. He has also been credited with revolutionizing cruiserweight wrestling during his time in WWF.
Mysterio has also appeared in other media including video games, comic books, and merchandise. He was selected by The Rock as one of his favorite wrestlers in a 2010 poll and again in 2011.
