Being married to German tennis legend Tommy Haas is only one of her many accomplishments. She has been involved in tennis since she was a child and has worked her way up from the bottom by learning on the job. Rafael Nadal is an Argentine professional tennis player who has been named the world's best player by Forbes since 2013. A three-time winner of the French Open (2009, 2010, 2011), he is also a two-time winner at the Australian Open (2007, 2018) and the US Open (2010, 2019). The 29-year-old has won 73 matches in the year 2014 alone, including all four Grand Slam events. He has been ranked number 1 in the world for 539 weeks between April 23, 2005 and November 16, 2016 when Novak Djokovic took over the top spot.
Nadal was born on July 25, 1987 in Manacor, Mallorca. His father, Miguel Angel Nadal, was a tennis player himself who played on the island's professional circuit during some years while his mother, Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez, was a volleyball player. When Rafael was only 3 years old, his family moved to Argentina where his father had a career as a tennis coach.
Andre Agassi, the former world No. 1 professional tennis player who won eight Grand Slam singles championships as well as an Olympic gold medal in singles, resides in this neighborhood. He is married to Steffi Graf, a tennis icon, and some of their other properties are listed on this site.
Graf achieved international fame when she became the first female player to win the Grand Slam, or to hold all four major tennis titles at once: the French Open, Wimbledon, US Open, and Australian Open. The two of them met when they were teenagers and fell in love while playing on the same team.
