The type of arrow you use depends on what kind of hunting you do and how much money you are willing to spend. If you live in an area where there is plenty of game, then you should consider getting a set of compound bows. These allow you to adjust the draw weight (how hard you pull the string) to match the strength of the animal you are shooting at. This makes them better suited for big game like deer and elk.
If you hunt small game like squirrels and rabbits, then regular old wooden arrows work just fine. You should still get high-quality wood, though; cheap wood will warp over time causing your arrows to lose their shape and accuracy.
Pound for pound, fiberglass is just as robust as its steel equivalent. However, when it comes to strength to weight ratio, fiberglass easily exceeds steel, providing the same strength as steel but with more flex, making it more durable and impact resistant. Fiberglass also offers better heat dissipation capabilities which allows you to embed it within structures without risking damage or burnout.
