In the inaugural season, the French couple "Les Twins" were declared the first-ever winners of "World of Dance." Season 2 was won by the junior team hip-hop group "The Lab," while Season 3 was won by the upper team hip-hop group "The Kings."
They also had an app called WOD Life that let users check out what they got up to on Tour, meet other dancers around the world, and even follow their favorite artists as they traveled. The app was discontinued in 2015 but there is still a website available for fans to connect.
In 2016, World of Dance returned with two new seasons featuring renowned dancers from all over the world. The show's second American season premiered on January 12, 2017, on NBC. The winner of this season will win $500,000. The third and final season started on February 9, 2018, with Brazilian duo Pabllo Vittar winning the competition.
Many celebrities have taken the stage during various seasons of World of Dance, including Sylvester Stallone, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga. The show has also helped many dancers build their reputations early in their careers, such as when Vincent Chen won Season 1 at age 16.

The Twins took the World of Dance championship, their first world title.
They beat Team USA in the final. It was a very close competition - only 1 point separated the two teams at the end of the night. Team USA came out on top with 5 points, while The Twins got 4 points.
World of Dance is a global dance competition featuring popular dances from around the world. The winners take home $100,000 (Rs 6 lakh) and the title of World Champions. The show has been running for more than 10 years and is produced by Syfy in association with The Walt Disney Company's ABC Television Network.
This year's winners of The Greatest Dancer 2020 are Michael and Jowita. That was a difficult final. Michael and Jowita have been awarded this year's The Greatest Dancer champions. They showed amazing skills and gave many joyful surprises during the finale.
The voting was very close between these two stars who had a great performance all season long. In the end, it was decided to give the victory to both of them because they are such good friends and they want to share the prize together.
They will receive their awards at a special ceremony next month in London where many other dancers will also be present.

Suresh Mukund, choreographer nominated for an Emmy. Suresh Mukund, the creator of the dance company Kings United, has received the World Choreography Awards for his work on the show World of Dance. The awards are presented by the Global Dance Network and the vote was held online.
Mukund became the first Indian to win in this category. He was awarded for his work on the show which aired on PBS in the US from 2010 to 2015. The other nominees were Ji Seong-hun from South Korea for World of Hip Hop: Rise up, and Aayush Sharma for World of Dance: Journey to India.
The award ceremony was held in Milan on Thursday night. Kings United has been nominated three times in this category before winning it last year. Other winners this year include Zedd, who took home the award for Best Choreographer, and James Brown who got the Best Male Artist Award.
Mukund is also the founder of The Dance Company, which has worked with BBC Radio 1, MTV Europe, and many more. He has also choreographed for several Bollywood films including Khiladi 786, Housefull 3, and Race 2.
He grew up watching videos of Michael Jackson and performed as a dancer before becoming involved in choreographing.
The first season of the reality dance competition premiered on June 1, 2005, and featured celebrities such as future champion Kelly Monaco. Professional dancers like as Louis Van Amstel and Alec Mazo proved to be equally as popular as the legendary amateur dancers, with several of them becoming household names in their own right. Among these celebrities were two-time participant Antonio Sabato, Jr., who went on to become one of the most popular dancers of all time. The other celebrity dancer was Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who is currently a judge on the show.
Sabato won the first season of the show, while Chmerkovskiy came in second place. At the end of the season, it was announced that Chmerkovskiy would continue as a permanent judge alongside Mary Murphy and Robin Thicke. Sabato withdrew from further participation in the show after he became pregnant with his wife's third child. He was replaced by actress Michelle Rodriguez for the show's second season.
Season 2 premiered on July 5, 2005. This season saw a major change in the format of the show when former NFL player Mark Ballas took over as host. Previously known for her work with disabled dancers on America's Got Talent, Thomas Roberts also joined the show this season as a new judge. Two celebrities were eliminated during the season: actor/singer Derek Hough and singer/actress Paula Abdul.
