The 1982 FIFA World Cup was the 12th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football competition for men's senior national teams held in Spain from June 13 to July 11, 1982. They beat France 2-1 in the final at Madrid's Camp Nou stadium.
100,000 people attended the final match of the 1934 World Cup which was played between Germany and Argentina at Berlin's Olympic Stadium. The game ended in a 2-2 draw - the only time these two countries have ever been tied on goal difference. The match was known as the "Game of the Century" because it was the most watched television event up to that point in time. (In 2016, the same stadium saw a world record breaking crowd of 74,829 people watch Brazil defeat Germany by 3-2.)
