Porter helped her brother Eddie become the first player in Ohio State history to be named rookie of the year. She is the fourth overall player from the state of Ohio to be chosen as a first-team all-American. Her brother Jason was a second-team pick while Kevin Steele and Scott Sealy were both third-team selections.
Ohio State went 11-3 during the regular season and finished No. 4 in the final AP poll. The Buckeyes defeated Virginia in the first round of the NCAA tournament before losing to UConn in the second round.

The crew was formed in Atlanta, Georgia and they were called "The Quest" during their time there. After being eliminated earlier this year, they came back for one last run at winning.

Season 8 marked the first time that The Quest did not go into the finale at 100 percent capacity.
Season 4/Winners of We Are Heroes: America's Best Dance Crew - premiered on July 2, 2009 - was won by DSD (Detroit) with 50.000 votes.
The show was cancelled after its fourth season due to low ratings. The last episode aired on September 20, 2009.

Season 1 Winners of So You Think You Can Dance U.S.A. are: first place winner Tyce Dior and second place winner Casey Abrams.
Casey was a student at The American University in Washington, DC when he was selected to be a part of this competition. He studied mechanical engineering and wanted to become an architect before deciding to take on the world of dance as his career choice. His favorite dancer of all time is Michael Jackson and that's why he wears a mask of the singer during performances. He has been quoted saying that his dream choreographer is Brian Friedman who has done work with Rihanna and Beyoncé among others. Casey has also cited Katherine Jenkins, Shirley Bassey, Celine Dion, and Aretha Franklin as some of his influences as a performer. After being on the show for its first season, Casey decided to quit school and move back home to Maryland where he plans to focus solely on dancing. He hopes to one day win the prize money and use it to open his own studio so he can teach others how to dance as well.
Tyce was born in 1983 in California and he has been dancing since he was five years old.
The first season of the reality dance competition premiered on June 1, 2005, and featured celebrities such as future champion Kelly Monaco. Professional dancers like as Louis Van Amstel and Alec Mazo proved to be equally as popular as the legendary amateur dancers, with several of them becoming household names in their own right. Among these celebrities were three-time champion Monica Geyer, who had already gained fame before joining the show; actress Emma Stone, who became one of Hollywood's hottest dancers after her appearance on the series; and singer Gwen Stefani, who earned praise for her ability to connect with fans through social media. After its initial run, the show was renewed for a second season which premiered on June 5, 2006.
Monica Geyer was the winner of the first season of Dancing With The Stars. During its run, the show has become very popular, with the first season averaging 7 million viewers per week. After its success, ABC decided to renew the show for a third season which premiered on June 3, 2007. Geoffrey Beene was the original judge of the show but was replaced by former professional dancer Len Goodman after his death in January 2007. This is also the only season where each celebrity did not have a partner throughout the entire season. Instead, they all danced together at the end with the exception of the winner, who chose their own partner.
