Lionel Messi, my favorite football player, is my hero. He is the world's finest football player. In 2014 he was awarded the Golden Ball as the best player in the world.
He has multiple scoring record to his name including the record for most international goals (96). He is also one of the most successful players in history with four FIFA World Player of the Year awards, more than anyone else.
His achievements on the field have never been questioned but recently it has been alleged that he uses visual aids during games, which some people believe compromises his ability to see where he needs to go.
If this is true then it is a serious issue and should not be tolerated. But if he does use visual aids then that just shows how amazing he is because even without seeing the ball he can still score goals!
The only other person who comes close to him in popularity is Cristiano Ronaldo. They are both incredible players and it would be hard to pick one over the other.
Ronaldo has won three Champions League titles with two different clubs while Messi has yet to win the competition.

According to a recent Morning Consult study, New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is once again the most-liked skill-position player in the NFL, six months and another winning season removed from divisive statements regarding players protesting during the national anthem.
Brees has won over fans for years with his infectious smile and calm demeanor on the field, but it's his work with charities throughout the community that have people most excited about his career. In addition to his role with The Brees Foundation, which aims to improve educational opportunities for students in Louisiana, Brees has also been involved with projects such as Seeds of Change and One Hands Institute. He has also created his own line of sneakers called "Drew Brees Apparel" that are sold across the league.
Brees' popularity continues to rise even among opponents. During his last game as a Saint, former rival Tom Brady took out an ad in local newspapers praising Brees for his work with charities and calling him a great teammate. It didn't matter: New Orleans defeated Brady's Patriots 41-27.
Brees' latest victory lap comes just six months after he made headlines for comments he made at a private event where he was asked about how he feels about not being chosen for the Pro Bowl this year. "It's OK," he said at the time. "I'll be all right."
Each football squad comprises 11 players, one of them is a goalie. The player's job, whether on the offensive or defensive team, is to score a goal for the team and prevent the opposition team from scoring a goal. The figure below depicts the various locations of the players on a football pitch.
On the offensive side, there are three players responsible for scoring goals: the forward, the midfielder, and the winger. These players must be able to take on opponents who want to stop them from scoring goals.
On the defensive side, there are five players responsible for preventing goals: the goalkeeper, the centre back, the left back, the right back, and the midfielder. Again, these players must be able to defend themselves against opponents who want to score goals by taking shots at the net.
So basically, there are two groups of players: those who score goals and those who prevent goals. The more players there are in each group, the better for their team.
Now, which players are needed on the field for each team? That depends on the system that their team plays. If they play a direct attack style game, they will need a forward and a midfield player. The forward can be either a striker or a wide player. The midfielder can be a passer or a driver.
