Dimitrij Ovtcharov, the world's number one table tennis player in January 2018, stated However, Timo Boll was crowned World No. 1 in March 2018. In March of 2018, Timo Boll was the top professional table tennis player. He was ranked first by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
Ovtcharov was born on February 2, 1983 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He is a two-time Olympian who competed at the 2004 Olympics in Athens and 2008 Olympics in Beijing. During these games he won a gold medal in the men's team event and a bronze medal in the singles tournament. At the 2012 Games in London he won another gold medal this time in the mixed doubles with his partner Ekaterina Makarova.
He is currently ranked first by the ITTF.
Before winning two Olympic medals, Ovtcharov was already a successful table tennis player. In 2001, he became World Junior Champion. Two years later, he claimed the senior title. In 2005, he defeated Lee Sung-hyun in the final of the World Cup to become the first Bulgarian to win the competition.
After retiring from competitions in 2009, Ovtcharov started his own company called DIMITRI J OTCHAROV TABLETENNIS CLUB.
Nicholas Hilmy Kyrgios (/'kIrias/KIRR-ee-oss; born April 27, 1995) is a professional tennis player from Australia. He is rated No. 58 in the world in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) as of June 2021, making him the third highest-ranked Australian in the ATP rankings. In 2014, he became the youngest ever semifinalist at the French Open, at the age of 17 years and 4 months. At the 2019 Wimbledon Championships, he became the first Australian to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament since 1976 when John McEnroe was defeated by Jimmy Connors.
He has been praised for his aggressive play which includes frequent use of the "mic drop" move, and his charismatic personality has made him one of the most popular players in Australia.
Kyrgios's mother is Greek and his father is Italian. He was born in Melbourne but raised in Los Angeles due to his father's career as a tennis coach. His parents divorced when he was young and he moved with his mother to Sydney, where she met her current husband Paul Annacone, a wealthy real estate developer. They have two other children together, a daughter and a son. His mother then moved with her new family to Florida so she could be near her other child, sister, and mother. She now lives in California.
Kyrgios started playing tennis at the age of 3 and quickly became interested in coaching.
Roger Federer has become the first tennis player in history to be named the world's highest-paid male athlete by Forbes. According to the American leisure magazine, the Swiss icon has surpassed sports giants Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Federer took home $20 million (Rs 100 crore) for the last year of his contract with Nike.
He has also been ranked as the best paid athlete in the world. The 35-year-old has won more than $200 million in his career so far. He joined Nike in 2004 and has since then received $110 million from the sportswear company. His latest deal was announced in 2015 and it will run through the end of 2019.
Federer has won every single Grand Slam event at least once in his career. He is the only man who has achieved this feat. The 17th Wimbledon will begin on July 1st.

Since the reintroduction of tennis to the Summer Olympics in Seoul in 1988, four former World No. 1s have won the singles gold medal: Andre Agassi (1996), Yevgeny Kafelnikov (2000), Rafael Nadal (2008), and Andy Murray (2012). (2012, 2016). Nadal and Marc Lopez added a gold medal to their collection in 2016. His head rests on a fern pillow while he lies on a bed of soft green grass.
