1. Dubrovnik (same as before). This was by far the simplest to choose. Dublin are still unquestionably Ireland's top team, and the six-time All-Ireland champions are perhaps the greatest football team ever. They've only been beaten on goal difference once in the last nine years - by Derry in this year's final.
2. Lismore. The Eirgrid system of ranking teams by their on-field performances during season leagues then deciding based on that who should play who in a knock-out competition means that no team is ever really out of the running. Last year's second place team, Roscommon, went on to beat Cavan in the All-Ireland semi-final before being defeated by Donegal in the final.
3. Na Piarsaigh. The Kingpins have had a fantastic run over the past few years with three successive All-Ireland titles. They're always one of the first choices of many GAA fans because they're great fun to watch and their style of play is extremely attractive. Their main weakness is that they don't possess very many players so if they get injured or lose some key matches they can be undone. However, nothing can beat them at home and they have a huge following among both fans and players.
The top ten Irish football teams in England Manchester United is number one. Following the Munich catastrophe, United's global popularity skyrocketed. Because of two factors, the outpouring of sympathy was multiplied in Ireland. Arsenal Liverpool is number three. 4 / 4 for Aston Villa. Spurs (5th) Newcastle United (6th) is new to the list. They were recently relegated from the Premier League.
7th Everton A club with a long history of success, they've only missed the top five once (2004). 8th Hoffenheim The team from Germany has been very successful in the Bundesliga (the premier league of German soccer).
9th Shelbourne F.C. (from Dublin) Bohemians (from Dublin)

Cork is in second place with 30, while Tipperary is presently in third place with 28. Limerick, last year's winners, have a significantly longer history, having won 8 All-Ireland titles. Surprisingly, London GAA is one of the winners. Their inclusion on the list is due to their win in the 1901 final, which pitted the All-Ireland and All-Britain champions against one other. The match was called off after just 15 minutes due to heavy rain and wind - it would have been the first ever Gaelic game to be abandoned as a result of weather conditions.
New York City FC is the most successful club in American soccer. They have 12 National League championships to their name, first winning the league in 1880. The West Virginia Mountaineers are the most successful college program in America, having won 10 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championships over the course of 10 years from 1993 to 2002. They are also the only school to have won the championship without losing a single game during that period.
Galway GAA is the most successful club in Irish hurling. They have 14 All-Ireland titles to their name, first winning the All-Ireland in 1887. Cork is the other main contender for this title, having won 9 times. Kilkenny are third with 7 wins.

The Republic of Ireland fields twenty teams at the international level, with the Irish senior men's and women's teams being the most well-known.
Bohemian F.C. was founded in 1905 by Czech immigrants to Dublin who were passionate about football. The club initially played in the Leinster Senior League before joining the Irish Football League in 1920. Bohemians have won the Irish Cup eight times, most recently in 2016. They also won the FAI Cup in 1924. In 1927, Bohemians became the first team from outside England to play in the English league when they took on Leeds United at Old Trafford. The match ended in a 1-1 draw; Bohemians lost 3-2 on penalties after the game had been tied 2-2 after 90 minutes of play. This remains the only occasion that the two clubs have met.
Shamrock Rovers were founded in 1922 by former players of Drumcondra F.C. who wanted to keep the spirit of football alive after the Anglo-Irish War broke out. They have also won the FAI Cup twice - in 1948 and 1949.
