Bill Belichick has six, four as head coach of the New England Patriots and two as defensive coordinator of the New York Giants. Charles Haley has the most of any player, with five. He won them as a linebacker and defensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys, respectively.
The only man to have coached both Patriots head coaches in the same year was Bill Parcells. He had this advice for new Patriots owner Robert Kraft: "Get some good security guards and don't let them carry guns, that's all I can tell you."
Belichick and Parcells are the only two men to have coached multiple Super Bowl winners. The Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 27-20 in Super Bowl LII to win their fourth title. The Giants defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 26-21 in Super Bowl XLVIII to win their second ring.
Both victories came down to the last minute of the game; in fact, they ended in a tie! With no time left on the clock, Belichick used one of his many trick plays to defeat the defending champion Seahawks.
Belichick has defeated five different teams in his five victories (Rams, Panthers, Eagles, Seahawks, Falcons). Belichick also has the most Super Bowl appearances with seven. Former Steelers coach Chuck Noll has the second most Super Bowl wins with four, as well as the most Super Bowl wins without a defeat for any coach.

So far, 55 Super Bowls have been played, with a total of 34 head coaches winning. The most recent championship was in February 2019 when New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady defeated Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson and quarterback Nick Foles 8-5 in Super Bowl LII.
The all-time leader is John Madden who won three titles with American football's Oakland Raiders. He was followed by Chuck Noll with Pittsburgh Steelers, George Halas with Chicago Bears, and Vince Lombardi with Green Bay Packers.
Belichick is the only head coach to win multiple championships. He also is the only coach to lead his team to victory in every game he has coached in during any given season - including the postseason - which he did seven times between 1994 and 2010 with the Patriots.
Super Bowl winners usually come from the National Football League (NFL). The exception is one men's college basketball tournament called the NCAA Basketball Tournament. The best two teams in each conference are allowed to play in this single-elimination format with the winner being declared the national champion. The first NCAA Men's Basketball Championship was held in 1939 and has been staged annually ever since.
