Pyongyang, North Korea's Rungrado 1st of May Stadium is officially the world's biggest by capacity. The mayflower-shaped arena, which opened in 1989 as a national emblem of power and size, seats 150,000 people. It is known as the "Globe" because of its shape.
However, it isn't actually used for sporting events - it is too small for that. The stadium is mainly used for political ceremonies and large public meetings.
The stadium is located on Kim Il Sung Square, which itself is located within the city center of Pyongyang. It is surrounded by many other big buildings like the Capitol, the Hotel Majestic, etc.

It should be noted that although the stadium is in North Korea, most of the country knows nothing about it. The government tried hard to promote the game and get some money from it, but without success.
Currently, no sports are played in the stadium because the North Korean athletes were banned from competing in international games due to security concerns.

The Rungrado May Day Stadium in Pyongyang, North Korea, contains 114,000 seats and is the largest football stadium in the world. With 99,354 seats, Camp Nou in Barcelona is the world's second-largest stadium. It is also the former home of FC Barça.
Camp Nou has been the venue for many major international matches, such as the World Cup final match in 2010 when Spain defeated the Netherlands by 3-1. The record attendance at a soccer game in Camp Nou is 450,074 people for the 1992 Olympic Games quarter-final between Brazil and Sweden. In fact, the stadium has a maximum capacity of just over 100,000 due to safety regulations.
It was built in 1958 and has been expanded several times since then. The current capacity is 105,962 after the construction of new stands which increased the arena by about 10,000 seats.
Its location next to the beach means that sea breezes can flow through some sections of the stadium whenever there are games being played. This makes it easier for players and officials to keep cool during hot Spanish summers.
The stadium is also equipped with an emergency elevator for use by injured or handicapped fans. A special lift has been installed for wheelchair users (accompanied by a ticket officer) so they can get around the stadium without difficulty.

NRG Stadium and Toyota Field are Houston's two major stadiums and arenas. Each stadium can handle up to 71,500 people. Rice Stadium, with a maximum capacity of 70,000, is ranked second, followed by Minute Maid Park, which can seat up to 41,000 people.
Houston has only one other major league sports team - the Houston Astros - who play in Minute Maid Park. The park opened in 2004 and replaces Domino's Field at Texas University. It is about seven miles from the center of Houston along Interstate 45.
Minute Maid Park is so-called because it has 90,000 square feet (8,300 m) of floor space. This makes it the largest baseball stadium in Texas and third-largest in the American League after Fenway Park and Wrigley Field.
The city of Houston has also been considered an international sport destination since 2007 when MLB announced that it would be bringing its World Series to downtown Houston for three consecutive years. In addition, NBA basketball's Rockets have become popular in the city, drawing large crowds to Toyota Center every year since their inception in 1972. NRG Stadium is also used for NFL games when necessary due to its size capable of holding over 71,000 fans.
Toyota Field is located in Downtown Houston at the intersection of Jefferson and Main streets. It is part of the George R. Brown Convention Center complex.
