Yelich played on a Miami Marlins team that won the World Series in 2012, but he wasn't able to help them win another one as a member of the organization. In 2013, he made his MLB debut with the Marlins and appeared in 81 games as they finished last place with 69 losses. He had 23 hits in 239 at-bats with three home runs while driving in 21 runners.
In 2014, Yelich played much better defense than he did in his first season as he led all of baseball with nine defensive wins above average according to Baseball Reference. He also hit.298 with 22 homers and 92 RBIs. The following year, he improved upon those numbers as he set new career highs in almost every statistical category. His 9 defensive wins above average were second only to Mookie Betts who had 10. As a hitter, Yelich was even more impressive as he hit.318 with 39 HRs and 102 RBIs. He ended up winning the National League Rookie of the Year Award.
After two great seasons with the Marlins, Yelich was traded to the Brewers for right-handed pitcher Dan Haren.

Sogard started his career with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he played from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, he was traded to the Boston Red Sox, where he finished out that season. He then moved on to play for the Cubbies in 2011 and 2012 before being released at the end of 2012. He signed with the Cubs again in 2013 and played there through 2017, when he was selected by the Brewers in the 2017 MLB Draft.
During his time with the Dodgers and the Cubs, Sogard played first base and the outfield. But he is best known for playing left field, where he made his name while with the Dodgers. After leaving LA, he had a short stint with the Red Sox before moving on to Milwaukee. Since joining the Brewers, he has been used primarily as a first baseman but has also played some left field.
In 2018, Sogard led all Major League Baseball players with eight home runs after hitting just 38 during his time with the Cubs.
Christian Yelich (born December 5, 1991 in Thousand Oaks, California) is an American professional baseball player. He is presently a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Milwaukee Brewers. Furthermore, the 26-year-old athlete was picked in the first round by the Miami Marlins. His pick was later traded to the Brewers in exchange for Jonathan Schoop.
He grew up in Lake Mary, Florida and attended Pine Crest School. As a high school student, he was named the No. 1 overall prospect by Baseball America after hitting.443 with 13 home runs and 51 RBIs as a junior.
Yelich committed to play college baseball for the University of Miami Hurricanes. On June 6, 2014, he signed with the Milwaukee Brewers for $1 million, just below the maximum amount of bonus money allowed under the new signing period (which began in 2007).
He made his major league debut on April 17, 2016. That year, he finished with 29 homers and 99 RBIs between Milwaukee and Miami (he missed most of 2017 while recovering from knee surgery).
In 2018, Yelich played in 152 games and hit 39 homers while driving in 100 runners. He won the National League Most Valuable Player Award and Golden Spikes Award after leading all hitters with at least 250 plate appearances per MLB.com.

Ichiro played for five teams in nine seasons. The Seattle Mariners were the only one of those teams to which he had not previously played when he joined them in 2018. He played his first game with the team on April 17, 2018, and ended his season on September 30th at the age of 41 years old.
He played two more games after the end of the 2018 season, but was placed on the injured list on October 1st with a leg injury. He returned in time for the start of the 2019 season.
Ichiro's career batting average is.272 with 271 home runs and 922 RBIs. He has won three Gold Gloves while playing third base.
In Japan, where he is considered one of the best hitters of all time, he finished his career with a.462 average, 2338 hits, and 311 home runs. He is the most popular player among fans in that country and remains so even today.
Suzuki came up through the Mariners' organization and spent nine seasons with them, helping them win the 2002 World Series.
Yelich got a scholarship to play for the Miami Hurricanes baseball club in college. In the 2010 MLB draft, the Miami Marlins picked Yelich in the first round, with the 23rd overall pick. On August 17, soon before the deadline to sign 2010 draftees passed, Yelich and the Marlins agreed to a $1.7 million signing bonus. He made his major league debut on April 15, 2014.
In 2015, he was selected as a starter for the United States team that will compete in the 2015 World Baseball Classic. The tournament is being held in Japan from March 6-30. If successful, Yelich would have been the first player from the state of Florida to represent the United States in the classic.
He became the third youngest player in Marlins history when he took the field on Opening Day 2014. He was behind only Gary Carter and Mike Lowell.
Yelich was named the MVP of the 2015 National League Championship Series after he hit.444 with four RBIs during the series. The Miami Marlins won all three games they played against the Chicago Cubs to advance to the World Series for the first time in 12 years. They faced the Royals in seven games but were defeated in five games by an average score of 10-7 per game.
In 2016, Yelich finished second in the voting for the National League MVP award after having one of the best seasons by a hitter ever.
