The New York Islanders are a professional ice hockey team based in Nassau County, New York. They play in the NHL's Atlantic Division as one of the original eight teams of that league. The Islanders have won two Lord Stanley Champs (1979, 1980), and have played in the playoffs every year since their formation in 1972. Their home arena is Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Islanders are part of the larger New York metropolitan area sports scene that includes the New York Yankees and the New York Giants in the NFL. Other major league teams include the New York Mets and the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League and the Liberty in the American Hockey League.

Allan-Romeo Nyom (born May 10, 1988) is a professional footballer who currently plays as a right defender for Getafe CF in La Liga. He spent the majority of his career at Granada, appearing in 220 competitive games over six seasons, four of which were in La Liga. Nyom, who was born in France, has been a Cameroonian international since 2011.
Nyom started his footballing career with French club Le Havre AC before moving to Spain in 2006, when he joined Granada CF. He became an important figure for the club's under-19 team, helping them win the 2007 UEFA Youth League. In 2009, Nyom made his first team debut during a 0–3 away loss against Málaga CF. He went on to appear in 19 league matches that season as Granada was crowned champions.
In 2010–11, Nyom played every minute of Granada's campaign, which ended in relegation from La Liga. He remained at the club for another year and half before leaving in June 2015, having made 200 appearances in all competitions.
After his departure, Nyom returned to Africa where he signed with Eto'o Sports Academy in January 2016. Two years later, he moved to Malaysia and joined Johor Darul Ta'zim. Natasha Kai is an American soccer player who is a member of the US women's national team. She has been called "the first lady of American soccer" due to her role as a fashion icon and philanthropist. She plays for FC Kansas City in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). The only other woman from the Philippines to play for the United States in international soccer is Carmelita Van Vlerken. She played four matches for the United States during the 1995 World Cup qualifying campaign.

Douglas Costa Douglas Costa de Souza (born September 14, 1990) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a winger for Serie A club Juventus and the Brazilian national team. He is well-known for his dribbling abilities, quickness, and ability to span the field.
After starting out at Vasco da Gama, he moved to Portuguese side Porto in 2008, where he played until 2012 when he joined Chelsea for £32.5 million ($50 million). During his time at Chelsea, he won two FA Cups and one League Cup. In 2016, he moved back to Portugal and signed with Juventus.
Costa made his international debut against Argentina on February 17, 2011, and has since gone on to win 33 caps for Brazil. At international level, he is known for his exceptional dribbling skills and accurate passes.
He also holds an Italian passport due to his ancestry.
