The draw for the 2012 FIFA Club World Cup took place on September 24, 2012, at 11:30 CEST (UTC+02:00) at the FIFA offices in Zurich, Switzerland. The draw determined the "positions" in the bracket for the three representatives (AFC/CAF/CONCACAF) who advanced to the quarter-finals. Extra time is used in knockout matches. If the score is still tied after extra time has ended, a penalty shoot-out will be used to determine a winner.
