Ray Lewis was born in Bartow, Florida on May 15, 1975. Surprisingly, Lewis spent his whole 17-year NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens (National Football League). Ray Lewis began his football career at the University of Miami after graduating from high school. Lewis was a first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 1996. He played seven seasons for the Ravens and one season for the Houston Texans. In 2003, Lewis was selected to his first All-Star Game. That same year, he won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award.
After ending his career with the Ravens, Lewis decided to take some time off to focus on his family. He returned to the football field in 2008 when he signed with the Cleveland Browns as a free agent. The Browns released him before the start of the 2009 season. In 2010, Lewis joined another new team when he signed with the New Orleans Saints. However, he was suspended for the first four games of the 2011 season for violating the league's substance abuse policy. After serving his suspension, Lewis returned to action against his old team, the Ravens, in November.
During his career, Lewis was part of two Super Bowl victories with the Ravens and was named the game's MVP after defeating the Indianapolis Colts 34-7 in 2001. He ended his career with six interceptions and 18 sacks. In 2014, Lewis was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Ray Lewis, the Ravens' 26th overall choice in the first round of the 1996 NFL Draft, was drafted by the team. After former Cleveland Browns owner Art Modell opted to transfer his franchise to Baltimore, the Baltimore Ravens joined the National Football League (NFL) as an expansion team in 1996. In order for the move to be approved by league owners, a group led by Steve Bisciotti purchased the rights to the Browns' old stadium, now known as "The Horseshoe," and moved it to Baltimore where it is used by their new team.
Lewis came out of University of Miami where he played defensive end and strong safety. In 15 seasons with the Ravens, he won two Super Bowl titles and was named the game's MVP after defeating New York Giants 23-17 in Super Bowl XLVII. He finished his career with 209 tackles, 18 sacks, and three interceptions. On March 8, 2013, it was announced that Lewis would be retiring at the end of the 2012 season; he ended up playing one more season.
After graduating from high school in Brooklyn, New York, Lewis attended Miami University for two years before dropping out to pursue a professional football career.
He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 1st round (7th overall) of the 1995 NFL Draft. However, due to a contract dispute, he refused to report to camp and was not included in any draft rounds that year.
During his 17-year career with the Baltimore Ravens, Ray Lewis was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and a Super Bowl MVP. In addition to his work on the field, Lewis became one of the most recognizable faces in football after joining the NFL in 1996 as a rookie free agent from Florida State.
He led the league in tackles three times and had at least 100 tackles five times. In 2004, he recorded 159 tackles, which is the most ever by a defensive player until 2012 when Boston College's Luke Kuechly reached the 160-plateau. That same year, Lewis was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player after leading the Ravens to their first playoff appearance since 1999. He ended his career with 19 1/2 sacks and four interceptions.
After retiring from the NFL in 2011, Lewis started an organization called RISE (Raymond James Smith Education) that focuses on teaching social justice and character development through sports. The program has developed more than 10,000 students nationwide between the ages of 5 and 25 who have been given opportunities they never would have gotten without Lewis' involvement.
In February 2013, Lewis was indicted on charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of his friend and former Baltimore teammate, Jerome "Jerry" Simpson.

Rayshad Lewis and Rahsaan Lewis revealed their decisions on verified Twitter accounts on Wednesday. The younger brother said he will pursue a career in medicine while the other said he will join his father at Kentucky.
Ray Lewis is considered one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history. He won a Super Bowl with Baltimore in 2000 and was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013. Ray Lewis Jr. has played basketball and football in high school and currently attends Lexington Catholic High School in Kentucky.

After graduating from high school early, Rayshad Lewis will immediately become eligible to play basketball at Kentucky. Raymond played Ray Lewis in the 2014 drama sports film Draft Day. Aside from NFL games, Lewis participated (as an actor) in the TV series From Glory Days as Ray Lewis, a former two-time NFL Super Bowl champion and MVP in 2014. He also appeared in three episodes as himself.
Lewis started his career as an undrafted free agent with the Miami Dolphins in 1996. After playing only one season with the Dolphins, he joined the Baltimore Ravens, where he has been ever since. In 1999, he led his team to victory in the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots. He was named the game's most valuable player.
After nine seasons with the Ravens, Lewis left to join the NFL Network as a analyst for "A Football Life". His first episode aired in January 2015.
In 2016, Lewis returned to the football field when he signed on as a consultant for the Baltimore Ravens. He has not played or coached in any game yet, but he has attended several practices as a spectator.
During his career, Lewis has won a pair of NFL championships (with the Ravens in 2000 and 2008), four NFL Most Valuable Player awards, and has been selected to seven Pro Bowls. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest middle linebackers of all time.
Armstrong was born in 1965 in Bethesda, Maryland. He attended John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham, Alabama, where he lettered as an outside linebacker and defensive end for the John Carroll Cavaliers for three years.
He then went on to Auburn University, where he played defensive end for the Auburn Tigers from 1987 to 1990. During his time at Auburn, Armstrong was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection each year from 1988 to 1989. After graduating from Auburn with a bachelor's degree in physical education in 1994, he moved on to the NFL.
In February 1991, just a few months after being released by the Buffalo Bills, Armstrong signed with the Cleveland Browns. He spent three seasons with the Browns, appearing in 46 games and recording 43 tackles and seven sacks. In 1993, he started two of three games before suffering a knee injury that required surgery. The following season, he appeared in only one game before being placed on injured reserve. On December 15, 1995, the Browns released Armstrong.
After leaving the Browns, he had brief stints with the Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons before retiring in 2001. Throughout his career, Armstrong totaled 105 tackles and 13 sacks.
