Diante Maurice Garrett (born November 3, 1988) is a former professional basketball player for Tofas in Turkey's Basketball Super League (BSL). He attended Iowa State University and played basketball there. Garrett attended Milwaukee's Harold S. Vincent High School.
As a freshman at Iowa State in 2007-08, Garrett started all 33 games for the Cyclones, averaging 16.3 points per game. As a sophomore in 2008-09, he was named first team All-Big 12 after leading the conference with 2.6 steals per game. As a junior in 2009-10, he again led the Big 12 with 2.6 steals per game and was second in scoring (15.7 ppg). As a senior in 2010-11, he was named first team All-American by The Sporting News and third team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Garrett finished his career as one of only four players in Iowa State history with 1,000 points and 100 steals. He graduated from Iowa State with a bachelor's degree in marketing in 2011.
After graduating from ISU, Garrett entered the 2011 NBA Draft where he was not selected during the draft's two rounds. He signed with the Los Angeles Clippers but was later released by the team before appearing in a game for them. In 31 games for Iowa State, he averaged 15.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.6 steals.
Jason Preston (born August 10, 1999) is an American college basketball player for the Mid-American Conference's Ohio Bobcats (MAC). Preston played basketball for William R. Boone High School in Orlando, Florida, for two years, averaging two points per game. He then moved to Canada and spent one season at Montverde Academy in Melbourne, Florida, before deciding to attend the University of Central Florida.
He chose UCF over offers from Kentucky, North Carolina, and Virginia. As a freshman at UCF in 2019-20, he was named to the All-America First Team by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Preston has been compared to former UCF star Chris Paul due to their similar games and body types. He also draws comparisons to former Louisville Cardinal Kevin Ware because of his ability to create offense for himself and others.
Preston originally planned to spend one year at UCF before entering the 2020 NBA Draft. However, he withdrew from that year's draft to return to UCF for his sophomore season.
He currently plays point guard for the UCF Knights.
Nathaniel Hedlund is his older brother, while Amanda Hedlund is his older sister. Garrett was reared on a beef cattle farm in Wannaska, Minnesota, with his brother and sister. When he relocated to Arizona to live with his mother, he attended Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Garrett Hedlund and his girlfriend, Emma Roberts, are in a relationship. His gorgeous features melted on him when he was named the sexiest guy by Glamour magazine in 2011. In terms of sexual orientation, he is heterosexual. He is not married, but he is dating actress Emma Roberts.
Kurt Coleman (born July 1, 1988) is a free agent in the National Football League. The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He attended Ohio State University and played football there. Coleman graduated in 2006 from Northmont High School in Clayton, Ohio.
In addition to his work with USA Football, he also plays for the Atlanta Falcons in their annual charity game called "The Thanksgiving Classic". The game is held at Georgia Tech's Bobby Dodd Stadium and benefits pediatric cancer research. It is one of the most popular events of its kind on campus.
Coleman was part of the winning team in the first ever Thanksgiving Day game between the Falcons and the Detroit Lions. He also participated in that game as well as other games during the season. The winner of the game gets to call themselves the official holiday league of football. In 2014, it was the Cowboys vs. the Rams. In 2015, it was not known yet who would win but both teams agreed to play for charity. That year, it was not known who would win either until just recently when it was reported by ESPN that it had been the Falcons who won.
He has also been a part of two more recent games that were played on Thanksgiving. One was in 2016 when he participated in a game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that ended up being canceled due to rain delays.
