The Steelers have won the past six meetings with the Colts, including a 26-24 triumph last season. The regular season will conclude on January 3 with a Week 17 meeting against the Browns, the team's 11th consecutive year facing an AFC North foe in the final game. The Steelers are 7-8-1 against the Browns over the last two seasons.
The last time out was November 24 when they lost to Indianapolis 30-27 at Lucas Oil Stadium. It was their first loss at home this season and it came after a five-game winning streak. Ben Roethlisberger threw for four touchdowns without an interception during that span. He also ran for another score. Le'Veon Bell had 155 yards from scrimmage and three TDs while Antonio Brown had nine receptions for 116 yards and two scores in the win.
They'll be looking to get back on track away from Heinz Field where they're 1-4 this season. Pittsburgh is coming off a 23-20 defeat at the hands of Baltimore. They failed to cover as a road underdog for the second straight week. The Ravens beat them by one point last season after trailing by 14 points early in the fourth quarter. This is also just the third time this decade that the Steelers have been defeated by both New England and Baltimore.

Even with their sixth loss, many people thought the Steelers would still be able to make the playoffs because they were undefeated in December prior to their 6-6 tie with Miami. That game ended any chance at an unbeaten season and eliminated them from playoff contention.
The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2020 NFL playoffs next week. The league revealed the dates and times for all of the games, and the Steelers will play the Browns in the weekend finale. Sunday, Jan 13 at 1:00 PM EST.
The winner will advance to play the San Francisco 49ers in the next round. The loser will go home.
This will be the first playoff game in Pittsburgh since 2015 when the Steelers lost to the Baltimore Ravens 24-14 in the AFC Championship Game. It'll be also be the first postseason game at Heinz Field since it opened in 2001. The Browns won't have much experience on paper but they do have something the Steelers don't - hope. Last year's Cinderella story began with a 43-37 win over the Bengals in Cincy before going on to beat the Patriots and Saints en route to becoming champions.
Cleveland is making its first trip to the playoffs since 2016, and it'll be playing under new head coach Gregg Williams who was hired after John Fox was fired after one season. He'll be trying to lead the Browns back to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

This would be the second consecutive year the Steelers have made it to the NFL Championship Game after losing to Denver last year. This year, they will be going up against the winner of this weekend's other playoff game between Seattle and Arizona.
If Pittsburgh loses today and Baltimore beats Cleveland, then the Titans will be awarded the sixth seed over Pittsburgh because they had a better record during the season.
