The Undertaker came on the 1000th edition of "Raw" in 2012 to assist Kane, who was against Jinder Mahal, Curt Hawkins, Tyler Reks, Hunico, Camacho, and Drew McIntyre. In a thrilling show of power and stamina, The Undertaker and Kane eventually defeated six other wrestlers. After the match, The Undertaker left "Raw" with Kane at his side.
He returned on January 13, 2013, to watch "Raw" celebrate its 10th anniversary. During the show, The Undertaker made an appearance via video message to honor Chris Jericho for being named the greatest wrestler of all time. He also announced that he would be returning to "Raw" later that month for one final match. Before he could make his return, however, "Taker" was injured by Kane during their tag team match at the Royal Rumble event. He was taken off-screen after this incident.
During WrestleMania 29 week, rumors began to spread that The Undertaker had died. However, these rumors were denied by both Vince McMahon and Triple H. On April 5, 2013, The Undertaker made his return at WWE's annual WrestleMania event where he and Kane defeated John Cena and Shawn Michaels in what was considered one of the best matches of the night. Three days later, it was reported that Taker had suffered a torn ACL during his match with Kane at WrestleMania 29 and was out indefinitely.
The Undertaker makes his first post-WrestleMania 33 return at the Raw 25 Years show on January 22, 2018. John Cena challenged The Undertaker to a bout in the months leading up to WrestleMania 34. If The Undertaker had accepted the challenge, he would have faced off against Cena at this event.
After failing to defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33, The Undertaker returned to television on the January 6 episode of Raw. He was confronted by John Cena, who demanded that The Undertaker face him at the upcoming Raw 25 Years event. When The Deadman refused, Cena attacked him from behind before leaving him in pain. It was later revealed that Triple H ordered The Undertaker not to fight Cena due to their history together.
As a result, The Undertaker did not appear at the event and instead, Cena defeated Triple H to become the new WWE Champion.
During WWE Smackdown at 9:30 p.m., The Undertaker and ECW Champion Kane stood in the ring, looking down at Bam Neely, Chavo Guerrero, and The Great Khali. On August 23, 2015 in New York City, The Undertaker is pounded to the ground at the WWE SummerSlam 2015 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. He was defeated by Brock Lesnar.
His opponent for that match was supposed to be Paul Heyman, but he refused to come to the ring so Vince McMahon decided to give The Undertaker a chance instead. During his interview before the match, The Undertaker said he had one thing to say to Lesnar: "Welcome to hell."
Then Kane came out to the ring with a chair which he used on Undertaker. After that, seven men who were not involved in the match went over to help Kane beat up on Undertaker. They included: Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Daniel Bryan, Fandango, Mark Henry, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H.
Kane then put the chair aside and started punching and kicking Undertaker instead. At some point, it looked like Undertaker had been knocked out of the match because he wasn't moving anymore. Then Triple H came from behind and kicked Undertaker in the head three times to win the match.
After the match, The Game tried to kick The Dead Man again but he blocked him twice.
Top Ten Wrestlers He Has Defeated the Most
The short version of the tale is that by May-ish 1997, the Undertaker's longtime manager, Paul Bearer, was on the outs with the Undertaker, having turned on him a year before to align himself with Mankind. However, by mid-1997, he began teasing Kane's narrative, implying that the Undertaker was hiding a big, dark truth from the public.
Undertaker began a feud with Steve Austin, who subsequently reclaimed the WWF championship from Kane, while Kane and Mankind won the WWF Tag Team Championship. To win the championships in Fully Loaded: In Your House, the tandem had to work together to defeat Kane and Mankind.
The Undertaker, on the other hand, lost the championship to The Rock in a Triple Threat match at Vengeance, which also featured Kurt Angle. The Undertaker was subsequently moved from Raw to SmackDown!, along with previous Raw performers Brock Lesnar, Chris Benoit, and Eddie Guerrero. He has not appeared on Raw since.
After losing the title, The Undertaker returned to Raw where he participated in a Six-Pack Challenge put together by John Cena to determine who would face him for the title at WrestleMania XXV. However, after being defeated by Cena in the challenge, The Undertaker retired from wrestling.
He came out of retirement in 2011 during WrestleMania XXVI where he faced off against CM Punk for the WWE Championship. At the end of the show, it was announced that The Undertaker would be facing Kane at SummerSlam. At SummerSlam, The Undertaker defeated Kane.
He next appeared at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs where he competed in a Four-Way Match with Daniel Bryan, Kane, and Randy Orton. The Undertaker won the match by lastly eliminating Kane.
He has appeared on every episode of Monday Night RAW since then, usually confronting one of his opponents about why they are attacking him (although this has happened more times than not).
