Spain's La Liga is by far the most popular league in Europe, so it's no surprise that many people want to see how its teams fare in the Champions League. ESPN+ will show several games this year between Spanish clubs in the Champions League. The first game will be on September 16 when Barcelona plays Juventus in the group stage. Other games include Valencia-Manchester City and Athletic Bilbao-Chelsea.
In addition to these games, every round of the Europa League will be available on ESPN+. Round one takes place this fall with games between Sevilla and Red Bull Salzburg, Chelsea and Benfica, and Ajax and Young Boys. In round two, Lyon will face off against Manchester United or FC Midtjylland.

To differentiate itself from the "major three-letter networks" (NBC, ABC, and CBS), the ESP Network rebranded as ESPN. ESPN debuted on September 7, 1979, with SportsCenter as its flagship show. The next year, after first airing on a limited basis, ESPN began to broadcast its content 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This made ESPN the first cable network to offer such extensive coverage of sports news.
In addition to covering major sports events, ESPN also produces several original series including NBA Countdown, which is broadcast daily during basketball season; 30 For 30, a documentary series that has released three volumes so far; and Top 10, which highlights the most memorable moments in sports history.
Besides being available through cable/satellite television, ESPN has approximately 200 affiliate stations around the world. Most major cities have at least one station carrying all or part of ESPN's programming.

So by covering sports all year round, ESPN makes sure that its audience is never without new content to enjoy.
