The biggest Super Bowl ring ever manufactured was for William "Refrigerator" Perry, a member of the great 1985 Chicago Bears team. According to Jostens, his size 25 band necessitated the use of three machines. The ring is on display at the NFL Museum at New York City's Hall of Fame.
Perry's wife, Diane, ordered the ring in 1999. The price tag: $450,000. She said it took her about five minutes to decide on the design.
The ring features 565 diamonds with a total weight of 35 carats (9.5 g). It is mounted on a black velvet background with white fur trim. The inside of the ring is lined with red leather.
William "Refrigerator" Perry
He played only two seasons for the Bears, but they were both memorable. In 1985, he led the league in interceptions with 13; that same year, his interception return for a touchdown helped the Bears beat the New England Patriots in the first Super Bowl. He died in 2004 at the age of 49.
Before becoming a player, Perry had a successful career as a wide receiver for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Chicago Bears selected him in the first round (eighth overall) of the 1984 NFL Draft.

The Packers are one of the most popular teams in the NFL, owing to their greater success than most others. Green Bay can thank four Super Bowl victories and a slew of other NFL trophies for that.

Super Bowl I was played on February 5, 1967, at Los Angeles' Stanford Stadium. The game pitted the Packers against the Chicago Bears. With his victory, Lombardi became the first coach to win his first five games ever. He also received MVP honors for his work with the defense. The Packers won 21-17.

The highest-known amount paid for a Super Bowl ring by a player is $230,401 for Lawrence Taylor's Super Bowl XXV ring. The price includes tax on the full value of the ring.
Lawrence Taylor's career ended in 1999 after 16 seasons with the New York Giants. He finished his career with 165 tackles, 17 sacks, and two interceptions. The ring was sold by Sotheby's Sports Memorabilia auction house in January 2001. It went under the hammer along with other sports artifacts that had been owned by National Football League (NFL) players over the years.
In addition to its high price, another reason why Lawrence Taylor's ring is so valuable is because it comes with two features that no other ring can claim: it has glass eyes and it is gold plated.
Both features were done at great expense. The eyeballs are real crystal eye balls from Japan that cost $15,000 alone. The gold plate is 18 karat gold plating covered by at least 1 mm of clear lacquer or resin. That means that if you removed the gold plate, you would see an object made of plastic underneath.

Because the team (ownership) receives only one Vince Lombardi Trophy, the Super Bowl ring serves as a collectible keepsake for the real players and team members to keep as a reminder of their win. Rings are also given to the runner-up team from the Super Bowl. These rings are known as "Super Bowl trophies."
The trophy itself is cast in silver and engraved with the name of each winning team. It stands about 3 feet high and weighs nearly five pounds. After their victory over New York, the Green Bay Packers went out of their way to honor their opponents after they found out that they had lost their own quarterback, Bart Starr, to a serious heart condition. They did not want any player from the other team to feel overlooked or ignored. So, the entire opposing team was presented with gold medals detailing how many wins they earned during the season against Green Bay. These medals are kept in a special case in the office of the commissioner of football.
Only two teams have earned the right to wear rings commemorating their success - the Super Bowl champion Packers and the league champion Dallas Cowboys.
