Patrik Elias Czech pronunciation: ['patrIk' elIja: S] (listen); born 13 April 1976 is a Czech-American retired professional hockey winger who played 20 seasons with the New Jersey Devils in the National Hockey League (NHL). At the time of his retirement, he was tied for third all-time among NHL players with 894 points. He won the Frank J. Selke Trophy once and the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy twice.
Elias made his NHL debut on 21 October 1995, against the Montreal Canadiens. He scored his first goal six games later, also against the Habs, and went on to finish with 26 goals that season. The following year, he had 52 points, which ranked second on the team behind Scott Niedermayer's 57. In 1999–2000, Elias set a new career high with 77 points, finishing second in voting for the Art Ross Trophy. That same season, he helped lead the Devils to their first Stanley Cup championship by scoring 14 playoff goals, which at the time was a record for an American-born player. Elias has since been surpassed by Steven Stamkos of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Wayne Gaudreau of the Calgary Flames.
After eight more seasons in New Jersey, during which time the team never finished lower than second place in its division, Elias left as a free agent after the 2005–06 season.

He has played all season long for the Islanders, appearing in all 82 games and recording 41 points (15 goals, 26 assists). The New York Islanders selected Kyle Palmieri with their second-round pick (44th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.
Palmieri was born on January 4, 1987 in North Branford, Connecticut. He plays his high school hockey for West Haven High School in West Haven, Connecticut. As a youth, he played in the 1996 and 1997 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a minor ice hockey team from New York City. He then went on to play at Boston University from 2006-2009, where he earned All-America honors as a senior in 2008-09. The Islanders selected him with their second-round pick (44th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft.
He made his National Hockey League debut on October 12, 2009 against the Montreal Canadiens. In that game, he scored his first career goal at 19 years old. The Islanders lost 1-4 that night but Kyle Palmieri proved he was worthy of being drafted by them.
Position/Forward Pedro Escudero was born on 12 August 1987 in Manresa, Catalonia. He played as a forward for FC Barcelona and the Spain national team.
He started his career at FC Barcelona's youth system and made his first-team debut on 26 October 2005 in a 1-1 draw against RCD Mallorca. The following season, he scored 11 goals in all competitions. In June 2007, he moved to Italian club Roma for €5 million (£3.8 million). However, he only made one appearance for the club and returned to Barça two months later.
After playing five seasons for Barça, where he won three La Liga titles, the Supercopa de España, and the UEFA Champions League, he joined Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande for an undisclosed fee on 31 May 2012. He made his debut on 4 July in a 2-0 win over Shandong Luneng at the Guangdong Olympic Stadium. He scored his first goal for the club on 15 September in a 3-1 win over Jiangsu Suning at the Yuexi University Stadium.
