Zinedine Zidane is the only manager to have won three titles in a row, all with Real Madrid.
He won his first title in 2001, his second in 2003, and his third in 2014 - he is the only manager to have achieved this feat.
Also winning the trophy twice is Jose Mourinho, who has had more success than anyone else. He has won the competition twice as player and manager of Chelsea.
His first season was 2000-01, when he led Chelsea to the Premier League title. The following year he won the FA Cup by defeating Arsenal in the final. This makes him the only person to have won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League in one season.
Other notable names are Carlo Ancelotti, Louis van Gaal, and Fabio Capello. All three men have won the Champions League multiple times each.
Ancelotti has won the tournament five times in total, most recently with Paris Saint-Germain in 2016. Van Gaal has won it four times, most recently with Manchester United in 2009. Capello has won it three times, most recently when he was managing England.
Zinedine Zidane is the only manager to have won three consecutive titles with Real Madrid. Bob Paisley was the first manager to win the FA Cup three times, all with Liverpool. Ernst Happel is the only manager to win a championship with two different clubs. He won the English League with Brighton & Hove Albion in 1983 and the Norwegian Eliteserien with Rosenborg in 1989 and 1990.
Zidane led Real to victory in the 2006 UEFA Champions League final after a 1-0 defeat against Roma, his third title with the club. He is the most successful coach in the history of the competition. Jupp Derde's side beat Liverpool 3-1 at Hampden Park to claim their first European crown.
Paisley won the FA Cup with Liverpool in 1977, 1978 and 1979. This makes him the first manager to win the trophy three times. Dave Sexton is the only other manager to have achieved this feat. He did so with Ireland in 1985, 1987 and 1989. Kenny Dalglish succeeded Paisley as Liverpool manager in January 1981 and took over from Sexton as England manager four months later. Therefore, Dalglish is the only manager to have won the FA Cup and the Europa League/UEFA Cup double.
Happel won the Norwegian title with Rosenborg in 1989 and 1990.

While Paisley led Liverpool to three trophies in five seasons, Ancelotti won three titles and reached four finals with Milan and Real Madrid, while Zidane won three titles in a row with Real Madrid. Seventeen other managers have won the title twice. Of these, only two have done so without ever losing a match: Dutchmen Foppe de Haan and Guus Hiddink.
The most successful manager in Europe's premier club competition is Carlo Ancelotti, with nine victories from 19 attempts. He is followed by Pep Guardiola, with seven wins from 10 matches.
Of the 17 other managers to win the Champions League at least once, only Roy Hodgson (who was in charge of England during both of its appearances at the UEFA European Championship) has more than one trophy to his name. The others are Giuseppe Vanti, Joachim Löw, José Mourinho, Rafael Benítez, Henrik Larsson, Thomas Christiansen, Mircea Lucescu, Luis Enrique, Andrea Stramaccioni, Bert van Marwijk, and Michael Skibbe.
Overall, English managers lead the way with 26 successes, followed by Spanish coaches with 15 winners' medals.
