Peterson's touchdown run in that game was the only one of the evening. He also lost a fumble.

Dickerson and Peterson are the only players to have more than one hundred rushing yards in a game. The longest play from scrimmage recorded in an NFL game was 100 yards by Marshall Faulk of the St. Louis Rams against the New England Patriots on October 20, 2000. It took him 14 carries to reach the end zone.
Adrian Peterson is the most recent athlete to reach 2,000 yards rushing, finishing the 2012 season with 2,097 yards rushing, just 8 yards shy of Dickerson's record.

204 yards Timmy Smith has the most running yards in a Super Bowl, with 204 yards against the Broncos in Super Bowl XXII on January 31, 1988. Smith also has the most carries with 10.
In addition to Smith, John Riggins had 103 yards and one touchdown while playing for the Redskins in Super Bowl IX. He also had 100 yards and one touchdown while playing for the Raiders in Super Bowl XVIII.
The only other player with at least 100 yards was Darryl Stingley with 107 yards and one touchdown in II.'s Super Bowl XI.

In the NFL, a decent rushing yard per game is anything above 100, with the top running backs averaging 1000-2000 yards each season. The top five runners currently are Le'Veon Bell, Ezekiel Elliott, Mark Ingram, Arian Foster, and Marshawn Lynch, who all average more than 100 yards per contest.
The number of rushing yards that a player has averaged over his career will always be more important than his single-season total. For example, Eric Dickerson broke the 100-yard mark seven times in eight seasons with the Los Angeles Rams, but he only managed 750 career rushing yards because he spent so much time in front of massive opposing defensive lines.
