He has also been named the NFL's Most Outstanding Player three times. Manning was drafted by the Giants with the second overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
He played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, where he was a four-year starter at quarterback. As a senior in 2003, he set a school record with 5,038 passing yards and 49 touchdowns passes without an interception. That year, he was selected as the Heisman Trophy winner after leading his team to a 12-1 record and its first ever BCS bowl appearance. The 12-1 season included wins over ranked Texas A&M and South Carolina teams. Manning was considered one of the best quarterbacks in college football during his tenure at Mississippi State. After graduating from high school early to join the military, he went on to play eight seasons in the NFL for the Giants and one season with the Denver Broncos. In addition to his National Football League career, he also had a short stint with the New England Patriots in 2010. As a rookie in 2004, Manning started all 16 games and led the Giants to a 12-4 record and their first Super Bowl appearance. In that game, he threw three touchdowns passes and no interceptions as his team lost to John Fox's Kansas City Chiefs 24-14.
Manning won the starting job back from Kevin Gilbride during the 2005 season and has since been the regular starter ever since. He is currently being paid $20 million per year as one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.

Brady originally came into the league as a Notre Dame Fighting Irish football player and spent most of his early years with the Boston Patriots. In 2007, he joined the San Francisco 49ers as their starting quarterback, leading them to a title game appearance in 2008, and then moved back to New England where he has been since.

At the age of 17, he dropped out of college and started working as a clerk at the Foot Locker retail store chain. It wasn't long before he was hired by the New York Giants as an offensive assistant coach.
Archie Manning married Louise Kloeckner in 1969 and they had three children together: Neil, Scott, and Bradley. In 1979, Archie met Olivia Hunter at a church function and they immediately fell in love. They married that same year and had one son together named Eli who was born in July of 1977.
