YOYO Sport is an innovative new sport that combines elements of basketball, skateboarding and snowboarding. It was created by David MacMahon and is currently being used in schools across the United States and Europe.
Participants use a YOYO ball that is designed for the sport and goes by the name of "The Mac". They also wear YOYO shoes with a flat surface on one side and a curved surface on the other; this allows them to slide along a wall or fence easily while still providing good traction when skating.
In addition to The Mac and the YOYO ball, other equipment used during games includes ramps, spinners and flip-ups. Games typically last 20 minutes and use up to five players per team. There are no rules as such but it's usually done in fun fashion. Some teams may have a designated captain who leads them through calls like "left", "right" and "down". Other members of the team will respond with "yes" or "no" depending on whether they hear the command correctly. They will then do something accordingly without further comment from their teammates.
