Stath Lets Flats went on to win best written comedy, beating out Fleabag, Catastrophe, and Derry Girls. Naomi Ackie earned the prize for best supporting actress for her role in the Channel 4 drama The End of the F***ing World, which also won best drama series.
Let's look at the other nominees: Best drama series was given to Game of Thrones for its third season finale; best actor went to Peter Capaldi for his work as the 12th Doctor on BBC's Doctor Who; best actress went to Emma Stone for her role in the movie La La Land; best screenplay went to Justin Lin and Jared Hess for their script about a young man trying to win over a girl by playing the guitar in front of her house during the Lunar New Year holiday season.
Capaldi became the first person to receive both best actor and best drama series awards when he took home the prizes at this year's British Academy Television Awards (BAFTAs). He beat out Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), who was nominated for best actor for his role as a young magician in the HBO series How to Get Away with Murder; and Dame Maggie Smith, who received best actress honors for her role as a tyrannical headmistress in the Netflix series Downton Abbey.
Stone was also nominated for a BAFTA award this year but she didn't win any prize.
At the 3rd Canadian Screen Awards in 2015, she earned a Canadian Screen Award for Best Lead Actress in a Television Film or Miniseries for her work in the series' follow-up television film Bomb Girls: Facing the Enemy. She appeared in the Apple TV+ space drama series For All Mankind in 2019. She also has been announced as one of the stars of Netflix's upcoming comic book series Lost In Space.
Balfour is best known for her role as Amy Wilson on The CW series Jane the Virgin. She has received three award nominations for this role. She has also received two ACTRA Award nominations for her work in film and television. Her other notable credits include The Night Of, For Your Eyes Only, Black Hawk Down, A Beautiful Mind, Hidalgo, and My Life Without Me.
Balfour was born on January 4th, 1975 in Toronto, Ontario. She is a graduate of Bishop Allen Academy in North York and George Brown College in Toronto where she studied theatre. Fleabag has won its second Golden Globe of the evening, this time for best TV comedy series. Fleabag won six Emmy Awards in September, including best comedy series, with Waller-Bridge winning for both acting and writing. The other two nominees were Atlanta and Schitt's Creek.
Fleabag is also up for three other GCs: best actress in a comedy series (Waller-Bridge), best supporting actor in a comedy series (Christoper O'Dowd) and best television movie or miniseries. It's also being considered for a fourth award, for music written for a motion picture or television series. That's all from us tonight!

2. Do Raaste (1973) - starring Rajesh Khanna when he was just starting out in Bollywood. This movie tells the story of a young man who leaves his home to seek his fortune in Mumbai. He ends up working at a restaurant where he meets and falls in love with a wealthy woman. It won two awards: Best Actor (Rajesh Khanna) and Best Music Director O.
