There are several ways to score well with darts. You can throw a lot of darts at a table, which is called shotgunning. This is the most common way to play darts and it's easy to do. In darts, there are two types of throws: straight and curved. With a straight throw, you throw the dart as far as you can directly into the center of the target. This is usually enough distance to hit anything you need to. A curved throw follows a half circle instead. Here, you start by pointing the dart tip toward one corner of the board, follow it with your wrist as you rotate it back towards the middle, and finally release the dart. Curved throws are used to land in specific areas on the board. For example, you might throw one curve for an outside line and another curve for an inside line to create a triangle of darts.
Each type of throw has its advantages and disadvantages.
