With all this being said, one could probably assume that baseball is part of the culture here.
During the winter months, however, things are different. Sports such as basketball, football, and boxing are more popular. Baseball is mostly played during the spring training camps held each year by various teams in different states across Mexico. These camps last for about a month and allow players from all over Mexico to show what they can do on field.
The most famous stadium in Mexico is called "The Big O" and it is located in Mexico City.

In 2017, the number of skiers in the United States was around 14.94 million, while the number of snowboarders was approximately 7.56 million. Both numbers are increasing but still only account for about 1% of the world's population.
Of the total number of participants in the Winter Olympics, about 1,500 are from Canada with a national median age of 40.1 years. The United States has the next highest number of participants with about 940 athletes from more than 70 countries. Japan has the highest percentage of participants with America's 38.5%. Overall, men make up about 69% of all participants in the Winter Olympics.
In the U.S., skiing and snowboarding are popular among adults of all ages. About 26% of Americans have taken up skiing or snowboarding, which is higher than the average number of members in a household (20%). Women are more likely than men to take up skiing or snowboarding - 42% vs. 34%, respectively. In Canada, men are also more likely to participate in skiing and snowboarding than women - 57% vs. 43%, respectively.
In Europe, ski touring is becoming more popular. There are now almost 100,000 registered tourists who visit Switzerland every year.
Although snow is unusual in most regions of Mexico, it does fall in select locations each winter, particularly in areas higher than 10,000 feet above sea level. It also snows on mountain summits and volcanoes, where the snow can be as deep as 10 inches....
Mount Baker (elevation: 10,775 feet/3,000 meters) in Washington State, USA, currently holds the world record for the most snow in one year. For the 1998-99 season, Mount Baker Ski Area received 1,140 inches (95 feet) or 2,896 centimeters (29 meters) of snowfall. The previous record was set in 1991-92 at Mt. Hood (Oregon) with 1,077 inches (96 feet).
This record was previously held by Mount Washington (New Hampshire) which received 994 inches (98 feet) of snow in 1936-37.
The National Weather Service estimates that the total amount of snow on Mount Baker is close to 300 feet (91 m). This makes it almost twice as much snow as any other mountain in the world!
Most snow falls on the east side of Mount Baker near the town of Bellingham, but some falls on the west side near the city of Seattle. The heaviest snowfalls usually occur between November and March, but winter storms can fall at any time of the year.
Bellingham receives the most snowfall on Mount Baker each year with about 40 inches (1 meter), while Seattle gets only about 8 inches (20 cm). The rest of the mountain sees less than 6 inches (15 cm) of snow per year averagely.
