Manning and Harrison were certainly the most prolific passing pair in NFL history, but they've been surpassed by several others over the years. The most touchdowns passed by one player in a season was 93 by Jim Plunkett in 1970. The most by a current player is 112 by Cam Newton in 2011. The record is 130 set by Ron Jaworski in 1994.
Newton and Jaworski have both played through injuries this year, so we might see them continue to break records in the coming months.
Manning entered the game needing three touchdown passes to break Favre's record of 508 set before his retirement following the 2010 season. Manning had accomplished the feat before halftime and added a fourth touchdown early in the third quarter, bringing his career total to 510 and counting.
Unfortunately, considering the outcome of Brees' 2020 season, it does not appear likely. Both Brady and Brees had 392 career touchdowns before Manning eclipsed Brett Favre's all-time QB record of 508 throwing touchdowns in 2014.
Manning threw for 5,477 yards and beat the record by a single yard in 2013 while playing for the Denver Broncos, only two years after Brees. Manning's previous best was 4,700 yards with the Indianapolis Colts in 2010. In 2014, he has 4,727 yards with the Broncos, giving him three seasons in the top 40 all-time. He is the first player in NFL history to have three consecutive seasons of 4,500 or more passing yards.
Brees is still going strong after eight seasons in the NFL. He has thrown for 80,533 yards in his career, putting him just behind Manning on most all-time lists. The Saints' star is still working on breaking Jim McMahon's record of 953 passes without an interception. If he stays healthy, we could see him reach that mark soon.
Manning broke the record in his third season with the Denver Broncos. He had 4,520 yards at the time he joined the league in 1998. His record was never really in doubt because it took so long to reach it, but it's interesting to note that if it weren't for some injury problems, it might not have happened at all. In 2001, Manning missed four games due to a nerve problem in his neck that required surgery. He returned for the 2002 season and led the Broncos to the No. 1 seed in the playoffs before suffering a serious shoulder injury that ended his season.

In the playoffs, Manning had a record of 12-1. That includes a record of 10-0 in the postseason home game. He has already set many records including most touchdown passes in a season (57), most consecutive games with a touchdown pass (24), and most postseason wins by a quarterback (5).
These achievements make him one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history.
