This is an excellent alternative pass when you are unable to position your body to perform a decent ground pass. You make the pass with two hands and a diving motion towards your target. You swing your arms out from behind your body and throw the ball to the recipient. This pass can be used by a quarterback, a rugby league player or a union player.
There are several ways to make this pass. You can choose the one that is most comfortable for you. First, take a deep breath, and on the exhale, throw the pass. Make sure that your arm action is smooth and without tension. If you feel like you need more power in your pass, practice throwing balls off of benches or into a bucket of sand.
In sports where you cannot use your feet to pass the ball, such as rugby union or soccer, you have to substitute with your hand. In these cases, you should always be looking for someone who is open near the sideline or end line. Then throw the ball far forward so that it goes over their head. They will probably catch it right before they go out of bounds.
Last but not least, remember to keep your eyes on the receiver while you are making the pass so that you do not throw it away.
Hold the ball in both hands with your nose pointing up. Spin passes can be made to either side. 2. You can prepare for a long pass by dropping the ball to either hip. You can make a tackle by tucking the ball into your chest. 4: You may act as though you're throwing the ball in any direction. This is called "throwing it over the shoulder".
6: When catching a pass, bring the ball down in front of you with your arms extended. Don't wait until the last moment before bringing it down. Otherwise, you might miss the catch.
7: Keep your eyes open while you're playing. That way, if someone tries to steal the ball from you, you'll see them do it.

9: To move at high speed toward an opponent, jump into the air with your arms outstretched. Land on your feet and turn immediately-or else you'll fall over!
10: When you have the ball and are about to be tackled, drop it quickly so that you don't keep being pulled down. This will give your team time to get back into position.
11: When you throw a pass, try to toss it as far as you can.
GETTING INTO TROUBLE
A normal throw with your right hand, across the body to your left, and behind you is the most common pass. Remember that a rugby pass can never be thrown forward, so avoid practicing ahead of time.
If you are trying to pass the ball to someone who is approaching from behind you, you will need to turn your back on them. This allows you to keep an eye on where the ball is going instead of having to turn your head all the way around.
The rule in rugby is that if you don't want the opposition player to catch it, then don't throw it to him. This is because many players use sneaky tricks to get hold of the ball even though they aren't involved in play. For example, a player might drop deep into a crouch position just as the ball is being passed to them, or they might jump up in surprise at just the right moment to grab it out of the air.
It's important to remember these rules when playing rugby. If you do happen to break one of the rules, you will receive a penalty try. This means that you will get a free kick (instead of the usual penalty) and the opposing team must score to win.
