The more turbo punches you throw, the higher you will jump when you hit the air ball. This is important because there are multiple ways to score on the street court. A hook shot is worth two points, a jumper is one point, and a dunk is three points.
You can also pass by pressing the A button while moving in the desired direction. If a player with a pointer icon appears in that space, you will receive a pass.
Finally, you can defend by holding the B button while looking at the opposite side of the court. There are four players you can guard this way: the ball handler, the center, the power forward, and the shooting guard. If they catch you off guard, you will be sent to the penalty line for one free throw.
There are two types of penalties: tagging for one point and triple tagging for five.

When it appears that your dunk will be skunked, switch to a layup in mid-air. Begin a dunk, then hit Shoot again as the opponent comes up for the block. Your player will dipsie-do and delicately loft the ball home for a two-point conversion. Take charge of the issue. Take on the huge men with the help of your team's best handler. Trick your way inside their bodies to bring them down. You can also use reverse dunks - try not to do so though, as they are very tricky.
The more players you have on your team, the better. You can only control one player at a time, so make sure you put your trust in the best dunker on the squad. If anyone else is available, you'll want to stash them on a reserve player. They won't be able to contribute anything else but scoring points, so keep that in mind when choosing your teammates.
You can also play against the CPU or another human player. In this case, you need to choose your teammates carefully and give them each a good chance to score. The last player left standing wins the game.
There are five different lanes along the court where you can shoot. The closer you get to the basket, the more points you earn.
If you run out of balls while playing against the computer, you can purchase new ones from any unlocked locker room in the main menu.
