Aaron Rodgers, full name Aaron Charles Rodgers (born December 2, 1983 in Chico, California, United States), is an American professional gridiron football quarterback who is widely regarded as one of the best to ever play the position. In 2011, he guided the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) to a Super Bowl victory.
He was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the first round of the 2001 MLB Draft but decided not to sign and instead attended Brown University, where he played college football. There, he became the third player in NCAA history to pass for 3,000 yards while also rushing for 1,500 yards. The next year, he led the Brown Bears to their first Ivy League title and championship game appearance. After his senior season, he was selected second overall by the Packers in the 2006 NFL Draft. He has since gone on to become one of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history.
Rodgers is the all-time leading passer at Brown and was named the Division III Player of the Year in 2005. That same year, he set several school records including career touchdown passes (54) and total offense (14,605 yards). He also finished his Brown career with three consecutive 100-percent passing rates.
After graduating from Brown in 2006, he went straight into training camp with the Packers.

In 2011, Rodgers broke his right collarbone early in the season and was supposed to be out for at least six months. However, he returned in time for the playoffs and helped the Packers beat the Atlanta Falcons 28-25 in the NFC Divisional Round. They went on to face the New England Patriots in the NFC Championship Game and lost 19-13.
