Aaron Rodgers, full name Aaron Charles Rodgers (born December 2, 1983 in Chico, California, United States), is an American professional gridiron football quarterback who is widely regarded as one of the best to ever play the position. In 2011, he guided the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) to a Super Bowl victory.
He played college football for University of California, Berkeley, where he was a four-year starter and finished his career with 5,067 passing yards, 42 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions. He entered the NFL in 2005 as a second-round pick of the Packers.
After missing most of 2009 with a broken collarbone, Rodgers returned in 2010 and led the Packers to their first Super Bowl win at age 24. He has since been named the NFL's MVP twice, in 2008 and 2011. He is also the third youngest player to be named MVP, after Joe Montana and Roger Staubach.
Rodgers has had a tremendous impact on the Packers organization and its fans. He is considered by many to be not only one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, but also among the best overall players in league history.
