Jucelino earns $6400 a month for doing two 45-minute daily concerts on a 17-meter-high platform. As if he were a guest on the ship, the athlete lives in a magnificent cabin. He also has his own chef and butler.

According to Scott Rochelle, President and CEO of the NBRPA, former players now earn an extra $300 a month on average. (The bare minimum for a retired NBA player at the age of 62 is $56,988 a year, and that's just for someone with three years of service.) The figure is based on a study conducted by the research firm Eagan McDaniel Consulting that analyzed salary data from a variety of sources, including the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Forbes, and the Sports Illustrated Salary Database.
In addition, former NFL players can make up to $150,000 per year as consultants or advisors if they work with a professional sports team. There are also opportunities for former athletes to become coaches once their career is over, but the pay isn't very good. In theory, if a swimmer was the season's best scorer in all of their matches, they could win up to $175,000 in MVP bonuses alone. In practice, most ISL athletes work part-time while training full time. They make enough money to cover their living expenses but not enough to live comfortably.
