You can walk or drive on the course, but be sure to use caution since there are some dangerous areas where you could get hit by a car. Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons is one of only four private golf clubs in Florida. It was founded in 1958 and is owned by Freddie Rozycki and David Hager. This award-winning course has been ranked as one of the top 10 public courses in Florida. Tranquilo has been listed on many best courses in America lists over the years because of its unique design and beautiful surroundings.
The club also has a state-of-the-art fitness center with personal trainers available, so if you want to lose weight while having fun, this is the place to be at.
It's an opportunity for the host course, Tranquilo Golf Club at the Four Seasons Orlando, to highlight its new status as a private club, as well as the $2.5 million extension and re-creation of its 16-acre practice facilities under the guidance of architect Tom Fazio. The project also included the installation of new turf from Scotts Lawn Care.
The practice facility extension includes two new chipping areas, one with a television monitor that displays real-time yardage to assist players in determining the right length of shot; another with computerized pin placements for each player to record his or her own personal bests on different courses around the world. The extension also features an improved putting green and new locker rooms with showers and tanning beds.
Tranquilo Golf Club at the Four Seasons Orlando opened in 1995. It is owned by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and operated by a non-profit organization called the Tranquilo Golf Club Association. The only membership requirement is a love of the game of golf.
Tranquilo has three sets of tees for every hole to accommodate all levels of players. The course was designed with an emphasis on defense rather than offense, so most holes can be played in either direction. However, there are several opportunities to use your drive in order to set up some tricky shots into the natural amphitheater of this desert course.
Pasatiempo Golf Club is located in Santa Cruz, California, and several of its holes have breathtaking vistas of the adjacent Monterey Bay. Today, this historic top 100 course is a semi-private golf club with public tee times available on a daily basis.
On a sunny day, a golf course may appear to be the ideal venue.
